Nail Manicures

April 30th, 2010

Most of us are glaring at the fine nail manicures in fashion magazines. We are wondering if the manicure is French or American or is it color back. Some beauticians and experts say that French manicure is considered somewhat passé while some others say that it is a classic nail manicure. The trendiest fingernail shape at the moment is the traditional almond oval shape nail.  Square style fingernails are almost outdated.  One can use an emery board to get that great oval contour.

Nail art on those perfectly shaped oval nails looks absolutely stunning. Use nail paints by Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Estee Lauder to make sure that they flow well and stay on your nails for long. Avon also offers a speed dry nail top coat which is not just high on gloss but also gives you perfectly colored nails in just a few minutes. This coat has a different drying speed altogether. It gives you that hard finish that does not smudge. This is especially needed while going for a good nail art.

In case you have weak brittle nails, apply calcium gel on your nail before going to bed. This will help the nails to become strong, hard and will also grow well. You can also do a nail manicure at home. Remove old nail paint if any and file your nails properly from corner to corner ensuring that the nail tips are not harmed. Soak your hands in warm water for a few minutes to remove dirt. You can add some liquid soap to this as well. Clean the edge of the nails and push the cuticles inside. Do not cut them. Apply a base coat and allow it to dry for a minute or two. Now apply two coats of your nail polish. Allow nails to fully dry for at least an hour. Finally, apply a nail and hand lotion which will help to prevent splitting of the nails.
